Christopher Wilson

Senior Advisor – Evidence & Learning

Christopher was previously a Senior Advisor on Evidence and Learning, responsible for strengthening EITI’s approach to measuring results and using evidence to improve implementation. Christopher coordinated organisational learning processes, led the development of country-sensitive and policy-specific measurement frameworks, and provided implementing countries and country teams with capacity development and strategic support.  

Prior to joining the EITI, Christopher worked for UNDP’s Governance Assessments Programme and co-founded The Engine Room, a support organisation for advocacy initiatives using data and digital technologies. 

Christopher holds a MA in International Human Rights Law and a PhD from the University of Oslo. His Doctoral research assessed the policy impact of the Open Government Partnership. He is an affiliated fellow at the University of Oslo and Georgetown University, where he teaches and continues to conduct research on the digital transformation of government and multi-stakeholder approaches to transparency and accountability. 

His free time goes to cooking, crooning, screenwriting and bookclubs.
