Communications provide an important bridge between transparency and accountability. The information in EITI reports must be disseminated to stimulate public debate and ultimately better governance of the oil, gas and mining sectors. In its ongoing efforts to support Communications Officers in EITI implementing countries, the EITI International Secretariat is holding a webinar on Communications strategies and effective social media on Wednesday 30 September 2015 at 7:00 AM Washington DC Time (11-12 noon GMT). The purpose of this webinar is to strengthen peer learning in Communications across implementing countries, share best practices on these two topics, and to create a forum for participants to ask questions.
